{"id":1205,"date":"2022-04-06T15:09:55","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T18:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/avarc.ca\/?p=1205"},"modified":"2022-04-06T15:09:55","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T18:09:55","slug":"rac-basic-qualification-amateur-radio-course-summer-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avarc.ca\/index.php\/rac-basic-qualification-amateur-radio-course-summer-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"RAC Basic Qualification Amateur Radio Course: Summer 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Registration for the RAC Basic Summer 2022 Course is now underway!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Radio Amateurs of Canada is once again offering an&nbsp;<em>online<\/em> Amateur Radio course so that individuals from all across Canada \u2013 and even abroad \u2013 can obtain their Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with Basic Qualification while continuing to practise social\/physical distancing.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter \" src=\"https:\/\/www.rac.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Cover_March2022TCA_3in.png\" width=\"400\" height=\"505\"><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Course information:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The course&nbsp;will again be conducted with the assistance of the&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/avarc.ca\/\">Annapolis Valley Amateur Radio Club<\/a><\/strong> (AVARC) of Nova Scotia.<\/p>\n<p>This course prepares students for the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) Basic Qualification Level Operator Certificate exam to operate on allocated Amateur Radio frequencies.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Schedule and Cost:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> As described below the course will be held on Sundays and Thursdays commencing on Sunday, April 24 and ending on Thursday, June 30.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong>&nbsp;Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm (1800 \u2013 2100)&nbsp; Eastern Time&nbsp; and Sunday afternoons 1 pm to 4 pm (1300 \u2013 1600) Eastern Time. Classes will be recorded, so occasional absences are not a problem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cost:&nbsp;<\/strong>The registration fee for the course is $50&nbsp;plus GST\/HST.
