Registration for the RAC Basic Summer 2022 Course is now underway!
Radio Amateurs of Canada is once again offering an online Amateur Radio course so that individuals from all across Canada – and even abroad – can obtain their Amateur Radio Operator Certificate with Basic Qualification while continuing to practise social/physical distancing.
Course information:
The course will again be conducted with the assistance of the Annapolis Valley Amateur Radio Club (AVARC) of Nova Scotia.
This course prepares students for the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) Basic Qualification Level Operator Certificate exam to operate on allocated Amateur Radio frequencies.
Schedule and Cost:
Date: As described below the course will be held on Sundays and Thursdays commencing on Sunday, April 24 and ending on Thursday, June 30.
Time: Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm (1800 – 2100) Eastern Time and Sunday afternoons 1 pm to 4 pm (1300 – 1600) Eastern Time. Classes will be recorded, so occasional absences are not a problem.
Cost: The registration fee for the course is $50 plus GST/HST. The cost of the Basic Study Guide is extra and an order link will be provided upon completion of payment.

I am trying to register for your course, but your process is not really user friendly. I ended up getting locked out while trying to create an account and then register for a course. Now I am locked out. I want to be able to take the course with my sisters, Elizabeth and Carmen Charlebois and with my brother, Fernand Charlebois

Am i too late to sign up for the summer course??

I’m afraid that registration has ceased as we are 4 classes into the course. There will be another course in the fall however, probably starting in late September. You can watch this site for an announcement, or you can send me an e-mail at alphonsepenney (at) gmail.com, and I’ll put it on the waitlist for the next course. I’ll send you an e-mail when registration opens.
