A reminder that our annual Field Day emergency communications exercise will take place on the weekend of 27/28 June, in the field by the water tank in Port Williams, at 211 Collins Road. Setup will start at 1000 Friday, 26 June, with on-the-air operations beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing for 24 hours. We will have a variety of stations offering voice, digital and Morse code communications, as well as a satellite station. There will even be a station specifically for newcomers, so that they can experience firsthand the excitement of speaking to someone thousands of miles away without the need for telephones or the Internet. Everyone is welcome!
