The Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club (CARC) is pleased to announce
that we will be holding our annual Amateur Radio Flea Market on
Saturday July 25, 2026. The Flea Market will be held at the Cornwall
Civic Center, located at 29 Cornwall Rd, Saint Catherines, PE C0A 1H0
. Please note that this is a different location than the last several
years.
Doors open for sellers at 8:00 am and buyers will be admitted to the
hall at 9:30 am. The flea market will wrap up at or around 1:30 pm.
The cost of entry will be $5.00 at the door. The cost of reserving a
table for selling items will be an additional $10.00. Included in the
$5.00 fee is a coffee, tea, or water and inclusion in the draw for the
following door prizes. There will be two Confederation Bridge Passes,
which will be available only to non-Island attendees, two $50 gas
cards and one Retevis VHF/UHF hand held transceiver. You must be
present to claim your door prize. Prizes will be drawn at 12:00 noon.
In addition there will be various chillis and rolls available.
There is a limit of 30 tables available, so if you are interested in
selling, please be sure to book early. Sellers can reserve a table by
sending $10.00 via interac e-transfer to
treasurer@charlottetownarc.com. Please include your name, callsign
and the fact you are reserving a flea market table in the comment
section of the e-transfer transaction.
For those who might arrive early and are looking to put in some time
waiting for the doors to open, be advised that members of the
Charlottetown club meet for face to face breakfast on Saturday
mornings at 8:00 am at Sams Family Restaurant 121 St Peters Rd,
Charlottetown, PE C1A 5P3.
Also as a reminder, the club sponsors a Virtual 2 m breakfast net from
8:00 am on Saturdays on the VE1CRA repeater, 146.67 Mhz -600. 100Hz
tone required. Join us there for virtual breakfast if you have
already had real breakfast. We will be providing directions on there.
